Career:
Liz Cambage began her career as a professional basketball player and in 2009, she played for the first time in Under-20 Australian National Championships. As she performed very well, the ABC suggested Liz could be the next Lauren Jackson and might surpass others as well.
She played for junior basketball with Dandenong Rangers and joined their WNBL team for the 2007-08 season. In 2007, she received a scholarship to the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS), playing for the AIS team based in Canberra, the Women’s national basketball league.
However, in August 2020, Liz made her return to the WNBL and signed with the Southside Flyers for the 2020-21 season.
